| ”Waldritter e. V." (Forest Knight Organisation) invites your brave young adventurers to participate in a German wide adventure game set in the historic fantasy world of Silvania. Where children and adults meet once a week in a magical nearby forest and are transformed into heroines and heroes, known as Forest Knights! |
 |
Under the guidance of educationally trained tutors, called ‘Rangers’, Forest Knights enjoy a mixture of role play theatre, scavenger hunts, nature quizzes and forest games, such as hide and seek. The framework for the inspirational game is the story of Silvania, the backdrop is the magical forest; the actors (both good and bad) are the Forest Knights themselves. The instructions and rules of the game are mediated by the Rangers. The game activities are designed to be fun, active and creative. In order to become a veritable Forest Knight a young adventurer must learn to understand and respect nature, and to demonstrate true knights values of honesty, virtuosity, good manners and willingness to help those in need of assistance.
Adventures in Nature
The combination of adventure, nature and social components as a co-educational concept is well established in other European countries like Denmark, and is already used in forest schools and kindergartens in Germany. With the novel aspect of a continuous adventure game, the children are given different roles to test their own solutions and learn more about nature in an imaginative and playful way. To ensure your children are in good hands the club works exclusively with pedagogically trained tutors. Game concepts and materials are specially adapted to the respective age and in there are also some organized nationwide meetings of all Forest Knight-groups. The membership contribution to the charitable organization Forest Knight e.V. is 99 euro per quarter, this covers all costs for the Forest Knight games. For a one off payment of 25 Euros you can buy the Forest Knight-Starter package that includes everything needed to play . The starter pack contains a tabard and a foam padded sword with a total value more than 50 euros.
How can you join the Forest Knights?
In a number of cities and regions in Germany, there are already Forest Knight groups. They are divided by age into the Wolf Knights, the Lion Knights and the Dragon Knights. Each Group meets once a week for about two and a half hours in a nearby forest. All Forest Knights are managed by the central Forest Knight Office of the registrated, non-profit Forest Knight Club. As a local Partner there is always a native Ranger available. If there is a local Forest Knight Group already nearby, your child may test the Forest Knights game twice, before joining the Forest Knight club. We organize information evenings for interested parents, introducing the Forest Knight Group in your region. To contact us or find out more about us please use the following contact information:
